Man charged after English tourist stabbed in Temple Bar

A man has been charged in relation to the stabbing of an English tourist in Temple Bar on Saturday night.

The man, aged in his 20s, was conveyed to St James's Hospital following the assault, which occurred at a premises in Temple Bar.

GardaĂ­ and emergency services attended the scene at a approximately 11.15pm.

"A male (aged in his 20s) was conveyed to St James’s Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time," said a Garda spokesperson.

A man, aged in his 20s, who was arrested in connection with the incident has been charged.

He is due to appear before Dublin District Court (Court No. 3) of the Criminal Courts of Justice on Monday, September 22  at 10.30am.

Investigations are ongoing.
