Cork's Shandon Butter Market and Weighmaster’s House to become community hub in €7m project

Shandon's historic Butter Market and Weighmaster’s House will be reimagined as Shandon Exchange – a community and enterprise hub. 

Funding of €7m is set to breathe new life into Shandon’s Butter Market following years of campaigning by local activists.

The sum has been awarded to Cork City Council under the Government's THRIVE-Town Centre First Heritage Revival Scheme.
