Gardaí appeal for witnesses as elderly woman dies in Galway City bus crash

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 80s was killed in a collision in Galway City on Monday.
The incident occurred at approximately 8.45pm when a bus struck the elderly woman on the Dublin Road in Wellpark.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, and her body was taken to University Hospital Galway for an autopsy.
No other injuries were reported.
The road has since been reopened following an examination by garda forensics.
Any road users with camera footage who were travelling in the area between 8.30pm and 9pm on Monday are asked to make it available to gardaí.
