Four people have been arrested following a violent incident in Co Roscommon. 

Four people have been arrested following a violent incident in Co Roscommon.

The incident occurred in Loughnaneane Park on Sunday, July 27.

On Tuesday, gardaí searched two residential properties in County Longford and arrested four people: a man in his 30s, a woman in her 20s, and two juveniles.

They are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Garda stations in the northwest.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí have appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward, including anyone with camera footage from the Loughnenane Park area on 27th July 2025."
