A fire broke out in the early hours of Friday morning at the pub owned by former MMA fighter Conor McGregor but was quickly contained.

Emergency services were called to the Black Forge Inn shortly after 3am on Drimnagh Road in Dublin.

Firefighters from Dolphin’s Barn discovered a small fire at the front of the building.

Using a high-pressure hose reel, one fire engine extinguished the blaze.

"No injuries were reported," a spokesperson for Dublin City Council said.

"The scene was handed over to gardaí," they added.

The pub was previously targeted in a suspected petrol bomb attack in 2022. However, it failed to ignite and caused no damage.
