Motorcyclist, 60s, dies following crash involving tractor trailer in Co Dublin

A motorcyclist has died following a collision involving a tractor-trailer in Dublin on Saturday morning. 

The incident happened at around 10.50am on the Old Airport Road, in Collinstown. 

The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, was brought to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where he has since been pronounced dead. 

A garda spokesperson said no other injuries were reported. 

The road remains closed for gardaí to carry out a technical examination of the scene. Local diversions are in place. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 10.30am and 11.15am this morning are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
