Teenager who died while swimming in Co Meath named locally

A “dark cloud” hangs over a community in Co Meath as a teenage boy who died after getting into difficulty in the water at Laytown has been named locally as Kofi Owusu.

Condolences have been offered to the family of the 15-year-old from Dundalk in Co Louth for their “devastating loss”, local representatives said.
