Pedestrian taken to hospital after being hit by car in Co Wexford

A pedestrian has been taken to the hospital following a collision in Co Wexford.
The incident occurred at Curraghgraigue, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, this Saturday.
Gardaà and emergency services responded to reports of the collision, which occurred on the R702 at approximately 3pm.
The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 40s, was conveyed to Wexford General Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 20s, received medical assessment at the scene.
No other injuries were reported at the time.
"The road is currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place," said a spokesperson for the garda.
Gardaà are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 2.30pm and 3.30pm today, Saturday 24th May 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating GardaÃ.
