Man arrested in ongoing Dublin accommodation fraud investigation

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 20s as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of suspected accommodation fraud incidents in South Dublin.
The arrest was carried out on Friday, May 9, by members of the Serious Crime Unit based in Irishtown.
It follows multiple reports made to Gardaí by individuals who claim to have been defrauded while seeking accommodation in the area during September and October of last year.
The man was detained for questioning at a Garda station in the Eastern Region and has since been released.
Gardaí confirmed that a file is now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The investigation remains ongoing.
