Teenager dies in scrambler bike crash in Dublin as Gardaí appeal for witnesses
An autopsy will take place at the hospital mortuary in due course, gardaí say.
A teenager has died in a crash involving a scrambler bike and another vehicle in Dublin.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened on Citywest Avenue in Dublin 24 at approximately 8pm on Sunday night.
The driver of the scrambler, an adult male in his late teens, was taken to Tallaght Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
An autopsy will take place at the hospital mortuary in due course, gardaí say.
No other injuries were reported.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conducted a technical examination of the scene throughout the night, and the road has since been reopened.
Investigating Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses.
Any road users with camera footage who were travelling in the area between 7:45pm and 8:15pm are asked to make this footage available.
