New research association established to tackle gender gap in sports science
Various factors often act as barriers which can hinder women's and girls' participation in sport, including at key stages such as puberty, pregnancy and menopause.
A new research association has been established to address the “historical lack of representation” of women in sports and health science.
The group aims to tackle the growing gender gap in sports science, after it was revealed just 6% of research in sport and exercise science across the globe solely focuses on women and girls
