Grammy winner Cian Ducrot has announced a second Live at the Marquee gig in what’s set to be a glorious homecoming to Leeside this summer.
Aiken Promotions confirmed on Tuesday evening that the Cork singer-songwriter will play the docklands venue on July 20, as well as the previously announced date of July 19.
Tickets for the extra date will go on sale at 10am this Friday from Ticketmaster.ie.
Mr Ducrot, 27, won his first Grammy for songwriting for co-writing Saturn, performed by singer SZA, which won the Grammy for best R&B song at the glitzy ceremony in Los Angeles last Sunday week.
He is set to play a string of sold-out dates across Europe later this year, including two nights at Dublin's 3Arena, but all eyes will be on his homecoming shows at Live at the Marquee in July.
The young Irish star has enjoyed a meteoric rise, gaining mainstream recognition through TikTok, where his powerful songs struck a chord with fans.
His debut album Victory reached number one in both Ireland and the UK, earning over 801 billion streams, and delivering hits like All For You and I'll Be Waiting.
He won the RTÉ Choice Music Prize for Irish Song of the Year with his track Heaven and performed two sold-out headline shows for 36,000 fans in Dublin and Cork last year, before touring North America with Calum Scott.
