Sarsfields fans had been hoping for celebrations but it was tears that were flowing instead of champagne at the hurling clubhouse in Glanmire.
The Cork team fell short in their bid for a first All-Ireland club title against Dublin’s Na Fianna, losing out by nine points, with a score of 2-23 to 0-20.
