A woman has died giving birth to her daughter at University Hospital Galway, the hospital has confirmed.

Teresa Charlin-Foy, 38, died suddenly during the birth on Friday, leaving behind her husband Stephen Foy and newborn baby Claudia Teresa, her funeral notices states.
