Number of dogs leave woman with serious injuries following attack in Dublin

A woman has been hospitalised after being attacked by a number of dogs in South Dublin on Thursday afternoon. 

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident at a home in Dún Laoghaire.

A woman was attacked by a number of dogs at the residence. 

She has since been taken to St. Vincent's Hospital for treatment of her injuries, which are understood to be serious. 

The dogs are currently in the custody of the dog warden. 

It is not currently known what breed of dog was involved in the incident. 

"Investigations are ongoing," a garda spokesperson said.
