Teenage boy arrested and THC oil worth over €180,000 seized in Dundalk
Approximately 7 litres of suspected THC oil, worth €181,000 was seized alongside drug paraphernalia and an Armani watch.
A teenager was arrested by gardaí following the seizure of illegal THC oil with an estimated value of over €180,000 in Co Louth.
Gardaí attended the scene of an incident involving the boy in Dundalk after receiving a report on Friday morning.
He then left the scene but was chased and caught by gardaí.
Approximately seven litres of suspected THC oil, worth €181,000 was seized alongside drug paraphernalia and an Armani watch.
The boy was arrested and taken to a Garda station in the Dundalk area.
He has since been released without charge.
A file will now be prepared for the Garda Youth Diversion Office.
The drugs will also be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
"Investigations are ongoing," a garda spokesperson added.
