Fresh appeal issued by gardaí over Mark Burke disappearance in 2014

Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal over an incident which happened 10 years ago and saw a man's body partially discovered in a Dublin recycling centre.

Mark Burke disappeared on July 28, 2014.

His partial remains were found at Thornton's recycling plant in Ballyfermot on July 31 of that year, with DNA testing being used to identify him.

His teeth, face, and internal organs were never found

He was originally from Sandyford in South Dublin.

Ahead of the anniversary of the incident, gardaí are now repeating their appeal for fresh information on the case.

A spokesperson said: "An Garda Síochána continue to investigate the death of Mark Burke and are appealing to anyone with information in relation to the death of Mark, however insignificant it may seem, to come forward. Any person who may have seen or spoken to Mark in the areas of Dundrum and Dun Laoghaire prior to his death in July 2014 is also asked to contact Gardaí.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Clondalkin Garda station on 01 666 7632, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station."
