Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to Monday's disorder in Coolock to come forward.

A number of arrests have been made in recent days in connection with the scenes at the former Crown Paints site, which was set to be used for international protection applicant accommodation.

Violent scenes on Monday saw rocks and bottles being thrown at gardaí and a digger was set on fire. The violent clashes led to a security guard requiring hospital treatment.

In a statement on Wednesday, gardaí said an incident room had now been set up at Coolock Garda Station and a senior investigating officer had been appointed.

A Garda spokesperson said they were "in the process of collating and harvesting CCTV and social media images" from the incidents.

They added: "An Garda Síochána wishes to acknowledge the significant volume of support received from the public to date including calls to Coolock Garda Station, the Garda Confidential phone number and receipt of images and videos from members of the public."

Any road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were on the Malahide Road or surrounding areas on Monday between 9am and 8pm, are being asked to make this footage available to gardaí.

An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to any person with any information on the events on Monday or has any information on persons organising or involved in Monday’s events to contact the Garda investigation team.

The Garda investigation team can also be contacted at Coolock Garda station at 01 666 42000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

On Monday, 15 people — 13 men and two women — appeared before a late-night sitting at the Criminal Courts of Justice, charged with a range of public order offences.

Six others appeared in court on Tuesday.
