A couple who run a popular animal rescue sanctuary are recovering after being threatened by a gang who attempted to steal collection boxes from their premises on Tuesday night.

Danny and Sandra Curran take care of 97 unwanted donkeys at the Donegal Donkey Sanctuary at Castledooey in Raphoe.
