Man, 20s, dies in crash involving scrambler bike in Dublin

A man in his 20s has died in a single-vehicle crash involving a scrambler bike in Dublin. 

Gardaí attended the scene of the incident, which happened at approximately 2.10pm on Thursday on the Phibblestown Road, Castaheaney, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.

The man, who was the driver a scrambler bike involved, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for a time while a technical examination was carried out by Forensic Collision Investigators. It has since re-opened.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses. 

Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the Phibblestown Road area of Dublin 15 between 1:45pm and 2:15pm have been asked to make this footage available.
