Appeal for witnesses after car crashes into business premises and goes on fire in Co Carlow

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a car crashed into the front of a business premises and went on fire in Co Carlow in the early hours of Monday morning. 

The incident happened at around 2.30am on Tullow Street.

Gardaí say they are investigating an incident of criminal damage and fire at the premises. 

Emergency services attended the scene to extinguish a fire which broke out after a car hit the front of the building. 

There was significant damage caused to the property but no injuries were reported, a garda spokesperson told the Irish Examiner.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at Carlow Garda Station 059 913 66220.

"Investigations ongoing," the spokesperson added.
