One person taken to hospital following incident in Down

One person has been taken to hospital following an incident in Kilkeel, Co Down.

A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said it received a call on Thursday afternoon and sent a crew to the Newcastle Road.

The spokesperson said the injured person has been taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Police have confirmed they are attending the scene of the incident.

A statement said: “Cordons are in place as officers conduct a number of enquiries.”
