Man arrested in relation to alleged false imprisonment of woman

A Garda appeal about the whereabouts of a van last seen in Dublin has been called off.

In an update on the matter, Gardaí said that the yellow Renault Traffic van was located in Co Mayo.

The van was found after a member of the public provided information to Gardaí.

An investigation into the alleged false imprisonment of a woman is ongoing.

The woman involved is safe and well, according to Gardaí who said she is currently receiving support.

A man has been arrested and is in custody at a Garda station in the Northwestern Garda Region.

An Garda Síochána thanked the public for their assistance with the matter.
