Man, 20s, dies following crash involving truck and car in Cavan

The incident occurred shortly before 3am on the N3 at Drumcrauve in Co Cavan. Gardaí have made a public appeal for drivers with any information.

A man in his 20s has died following a collision between a truck and a car in Cavan on Monday.

The incident occurred shortly before 3am on the N3 at Drumcrauve in Co Cavan.

The driver of the vehicle, a woman aged in her 20s, was taken to Cavan General Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No other injuries have been reported.

The road remains closed with traffic diversions in place. 

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are examining the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
