Former army personnel consider legal challenge to Defence Forces tribunal

The Defence Forces tribunal of inquiry is being established to see if the army’s complaints system is fit for purpose.

Current and former army personnel are backing plans for a legal challenge to the establishment of the Defence Forces tribunal of inquiry.

Tánaiste Micheál Martin received Government agreement on the remit of the judge-led tribunal on Tuesday when Justice Ann Power was also announced as the judge.
