A disgraced former judge, who has been unmasked as a sexual abuser, "heaped praise" on an abuse survivor whose case he handled as state solicitor, it has emerged.
Laura Witherow says a series of supportive text messages from Gerard O'Brien, praising her for "her courage", shows the extent of the "double life" he led and proves "an abuser could be anyone despite their career or the front they are able to put on".
