A new primary care centre (PCC) has opened in Cork providing a range of health services under one roof to a population of almost 72,000.
The purpose-built Ballincollig PCC is part of a network of centres which have been designed “to deliver the right care, in the right place, at the right time”.
Ballincollig Primary Care Centre is part of Community Healthcare Network 12 West Central Cork which includes Ballincollig, Bishopstown and Macroom. This centre has a footprint of 6,100 m2 (66,000 sq. ft.). There are three local GP practices based in this building along with HSE integrated services including nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, psychology, mental health officers, community workers, home support staff, dental services, ophthalmology, mental health services and CUMH maternity outreach services.
