Man, 30s, killed and woman injured in two-car Mayo collision

A man in his 30s has been killed in a two-car collision in Co Mayo.
Gardaí and emergency services personnel are at the scene of the incident, which happened at approximately 7.45am on the R331 at Belladaff, Tagheen near Claremorris.
The driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles involved, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second car, a woman in her 20s, has been taken to Mayo University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The R331 is currently closed between Claremorris and Hollymount to facilitate an examination of the scene by garda forensic collision investigators. Local diversions have also been put in place.
Investigating gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses.
Road users who may have camera footage - including dash-cam - and were travelling on the R331 between Claremorris and Hollymount between 7.30am and 8am this morning have been asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
