Any respite the country gets from cold and frosty conditions on Friday will be brief, as the lifting of one low temperature warning on this afternoon will be followed by another later this evening.

A status yellow low temperature/ice warning for the entire country is currently in place. Between now and the time the warning lapses at 12pm, Met Éireann has said that temperatures will reach highs of 2C to 6C and while it will be a bright day, it will be "very cold".
