HSE extends recruitment freeze to all categories as Bernard Gloster admits 'difficulties'

The Irish Medical Organisation (IMO) has blasted the Government and HSE for "recklessly compromising patient care" by extending the recruitment freeze to all categories of staff.

The IMO hit out at the "disastrous" freeze, which was brought in last month in an attempt to contain costs after a rise in staff numbers.
