Teen arrested after Kildare assault leaves three hospitalised

The incident occurred at approximately 10.45pm on Tuesday in the Basin St/Harbour View area of Naas.

A teenager has been arrested following an assault in Naas, Co Kildare, on Tuesday evening, which left three other teenagers hospitalised.

The incident occurred at approximately 10.45pm in the Basin St/Harbour View area of Naas. A number of people were involved.

Three male teens were taken to Naas General Hospital. Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

On Wednesday, gardaí arrested a male teenager in relation to this incident.

He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at a Garda station in Co Kildare.

"Investigations are ongoing," a Garda spokesperson said.

Gardaí in Naas appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone who was in the Basin St/Harbour View area between 10pm and 11pm on Tuesday evening and has camera footage (including dash cam), is asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
