Two people have escaped without injury after their car fell from the first floor of a multi-storey carpark in Dublin.

The car landed upside down on Baggot Street around 9.20pm on Sunday night.

According to Garda spokesperson, the vehicle "drove through the guard rail of a first floor carpark onto the footpath below".

No injuries were reported but both occupants of the car were taken to St Vincent's University Hospital.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
