Irish man dies in drowning incident in Greece

A 22-year-old Irish man has died in a drowning incident in Greece.

It is believed that the man, who is from Laois, was found unresponsive in a swimming pool by friends on Sunday.

A spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed that it is aware of the case. 

The DFA said it is providing consular assistance.
