Irish man Alan Joyce to step down as CEO of Australia's Qantas Airways

Irish man Alan Joyce is stepping away from his role as chief executive officer of Australia's flagship carrier, Qantas Airways Ltd.

He will be replaced by the company's finance chief, Vanessa Hudson, who will become the first woman to lead the century-old airline.
