Local diversions are in place following a road traffic accident which occurred in the Riverstick area of Cork earlier today.

The R6000 will remain closed overnight following the two-vehicle crash which occurred just outside Kinsale at around 5:30pm.

"Motorists are advised to take alternative routes where possible," a Garda spokesperson said.
