Woman, 40s, charged in connection with Westmeath car fire which killed two children

The woman is to appear before the court this evening.

A woman, aged in her 40s, who was arrested in connection with a car fire which claimed the lives of two young children earlier this month has been charged.

"She is set to appear before a special sitting of Mullingar District Court this evening," said a garda spokesperson.
