The leaders of the main churches in Ireland have issued a joint call for practical support to be delivered to people struggling with the cost-of-living crisis on both sides of the border.
The Church Leaders Group (Ireland), which includes the Church of Ireland and Roman Catholic archbishops of Armagh, the Presbyterian moderator and the presidents of the Methodist Church and Irish Council of Churches, said they were “deeply concerned regarding the government response” in both Northern Ireland and the Republic.
