Only 50% have availed of second booster as country sees 'troubling' Covid case rise 

To date only 50% of those eligible for the second booster have availed of it, while 75% have had their first booster dose.

An autumn Covid-19 booster campaign to encourage more people to get their second booster vaccine could happen, according to the HSE’s chief clinical officer.

To date, only 50% of those eligible for the second booster have availed of it, while 75% have had their first booster dose, Dr Colm Henry said.
