Gardaí appeal for witnesses following discovery of man's body in Dublin's Grand Canal

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses following the discovery of a body of a man in the Grand Canal.
Officers discovered the body of the man, aged in his 20s, in a section on the canal at Dolphin's Barn yesterday afternoon.
The body was later removed from the scene and taken to Dublin City Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination has taken place.

It is understood the incident is being treated as a tragic accident at this time.
Investigating gardaí are now appealing to anyone who may have been in the Dolphins Barn area, particularly along the Grand Canal, between the hours of 2am and 5am on Saturday, September 26 to come forward.
Any road users with dashcam footage who were travelling in the area at the time have been asked to make this available.
