Eight arrested as gardaí continue to police planned protest

Eight people have been arrested by gardaí as part of a policing plan around a protest planned for this afternoon in Dublin city centre.

Six people, five of those male and one female, were arrested for breaches of the Health Act.

Two men were arrested in relation to public order incidents.

Of those arrested, six were charged and released on station bail.

Two remain in custody of the gardaí.
