'Melanoma can spread quickly': Campaign urges public to get health concerns checked

A 46-year-old woman who underwent skin cancer treatment during the Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of early detection as part of an Irish Cancer Society campaign urging people to contact their doctor if they are concerned about symptoms that may indicate cancer.

The Your Health Matters campaign, which is being backed by sports commentator Marty Morrissey, aims to “increase awareness of the importance of early detection and encourage those concerned about symptoms to contact their doctor” ahead of World Cancer Day on Thursday.
