A woman was hit with a pickaxe during a row at a housing estate in Co Leitrim earlier this week.

Gardaí are investigating the assault at the Lis Cara estate in Carrick-on-Shannon around half past seven on Thursday evening.

A video recorded during the altercation shows windows being broken with the pick before a fight broke out.

Gardaí say no arrests have been made, as inquiries continue.
