Navy detains German fishing boat off Donegal coast

The Naval service has detained a German fishing boat off Co Donegal for breaching fishing laws.

The LÉ William Butler Yeats apprehended the vessel 250 nautical miles north-west of Malin Head.

It was escorted to port and handed over the Gardaí.

It is the seventh vessel to detained by the Irish Naval Service this year for breaching fishing regulations.
