The announcement came after it was earlier confirmed that the Rose of Tralee was also not going ahead in 2020.

The Puck Fair has been cancelled this year, the latest event to fall victim to the coronavirus outbreak.

In a statement issued this afternoon, organisers confirmed that the event due to be held from August 10-12 will not take place until 2021.

<p> Volunteers attending the DMax 7.7 fitness event, in honour of Darragh McCarthy, who tragically passed away last year at just 21 years of age. The sold-out fitness event saw over 300 competitors take on DMax 7.7 featuring seven fitness stations, lasting seven minutes per station with a two minute transition between station. Competitors entered in teams of two and tested their strength, endurance and mental resilience across a series of challenges including rope skipping, ski-erg, medicine ball, assault bike, rowing, burpee box jumps and wall balls.
