Investigation launched after baby dies in 'unexplained circumstances' in Waterford

An investigation has been launched into the death of a baby in Co Waterford.

Gardaí say the infant died in "unexplained circumstances".

They added that are "investigating all circumstances" into the death.

The child passed away at a house yesterday afternoon at around 2pm.

A post-mortem is due to be carried out.

The results of this will determine the course of the investigation.
