EPA calling for country-wide ban on smoky coal despite threat of legal action
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is calling for a country-wide ban on smoky coal despite the threat of legal action by the coal industry.
Ciara McMahon, programme manager responsible for air quality with EPA told RTÉ radio’s Morning Ireland that dirt in air from smoky coal is responsible for 1,000 deaths a year.
