504 patients waiting for beds in Irish hospitals
504 patients are waiting for beds in Irish hospitals this morning.
The figures from the INMO's Trolley Watch show 353 are waiting in the emergency department, while 151 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
The worst-hit hospitals today are:
- Cork University Hospital - 59
- University Hospital Limerick– 58
- University Hospital Galway - 44
- South Tipperary General Hospital – 37
- Letterkenny University Hospital – 34
- Mater Misericordiae University Hospital - 33
The number is up on figures from the last two days.
On Tuesday 485 patients were waiting for beds while on Monday the figure stood at 414.
The worst-hit hospitals yesterday University Hospital Limerick (56) and University Hospital Galway (43).
