Man hospitalised after stabbing in Dundalk

A man in his 20s is in hospital after being stabbed in the back in Dundalk last night.

The incident occurred in the Oakland Park area of Coxs Demesne at around 10.20pm.

The victim was treated by ambulance personnel at the scene before being brought to Our Lady Of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
