Child in hospital after falling from third-floor apartment in Limerick

A child has been taken to hospital after falling from the window of an apartment in Limerick city.

The incident happened just before 6pm this evening.

Passersby witnessed the girl fall from the third floor of the Mount Kenneth Apartments on the Dock Road.

A passing doctor tended to the child until an ambulance and gardaí arrived.

She has been removed to University Hospital Limerick.
