Dean Howe of Oakfield Place in Dublin 8 was arrested yesterday morning in connection with serious feud related organised crime activity in the Dublin region.

He was subsequently charged with conspiracy to murder, which relates to a plot to murder Gary Hanley in 2017.

Mr Howe has been remanded in custody at Cloverhill Prison, to appear again next week via video link.

He is the fifth person to be charged in connection with the crime.

In November last year, a 23-year-old man was jailed by the Special Criminal Court for 11 years after admitting conspiring to murder Hanley.

Three others were also charged with trial set for October 7, 2019.
